Technical Manual for Westerbeke 10TWO and 12B-TWO marine diesel engines. The publication includes manuals for WMD marine diesel generators (3 KW-60 Hz and 2.4 KW-50 Hz). Officially released by Westerbeke in 1993. The document covers installation, operation and maintenance issues, engine overhaul, other overhaul (marine engine electrical system, external cooling system, transmissions), generator sets, and is supplemented by the service bulletins. The last chapter contains the officially released service bulletins for the engines covered within this document, namely RTA-38 and RTA-48 type. This Wartsila service bulletin was officially released to address the possible troubles and proposed remedies for the electronic VIT, i.e. Variable Injection Timing. The book provides all necessary information relating to the improvements to be made to the components; the next chapter of the document new positioning unit complete/valve rail, while the fourth chapter is dedicated to the proposed technical remedies and some additional measures recommended by the manufacturer to be taken.
