This publication will provide some valuable notes related to the ship handling which are expected to be of use for the crew members and future mariners. The authors of the publication tried to address the most important aspects of handling the ship, including the explanation of the pivot point, turning the ship and slow speed control, showing the effects wind has on the vessel, giving details of the anchor work, the use of tugs and ship's bow thrusters, special vessel propellers and rudders, twin screw work. In addition, ship-to-ship and SBM operations are covered.

An excellent training publication for the mariners and trainees of all levels. The content of the book is presented in such clear and easily understandable language that it makes the book suitable even for the complete beginner. Numerous illustrations supplementing the text part of the volume are very informative. An absolute must-have one in the library of every mariner and student. In short, this is a sort of "ship handling made easy" book.
