This OSS was released to describe newly offered pipe mill qualification service by DNV. Subject service is mainly based on the requirements to line-pipe manufacture outlined in the "Submarine pipeline systems" specification by this Society; qualification of the coating application may also be conducted as per the same principles with the DNV-OS-RP-F106 used for reference.
The key deliverable in the case of pipe mill and coating yard qualification is a SoC, i.e. Statement of Compliance, that is issued upon satisfactory completion of the whole qualification program. It will be valid of the date of its issuance, and will list all parameters defining the qualification scope. The verification report summarizing all DNV activities, will also be issued. It will contain the conclusion - whether the qualification was successful or not. In addition to that, this Class Society will issue a general statement of the mill/yard and the qualification project.
