The maritime shipping history has demonstrated that serious changes are sometimes made being a logical consequence of the events. The second section is dealing with the impact that the sat communications have today and explains the use of the satellite technology, paying particular attention to Inmarsat. The last section of the publication considers the main principles of the terrestrial radiocommunications. All systems and equipment have been explained in detail.
