This latest official edition of the Ships Routeing shall supersede all previous editions of the book and includes all measures that have been officially adopted by IMO up to and including the 95th session of the MSC and 28th session of IMO Assembly. Eight sections of the publications, from A to H, cover the general provisions of the ships routeing, traffic separation schemes and inshore traffic zones, areas to be avoided, deep-water routes, other measures, associated rules and recommendations on navigation, adoption, designation and substitution of Archipelagic sea lanes, mandatory ship reporting systems, no anchoring areas and routeing systems.
The book starts with the introductory section defining the main objective of the document, procedures and responsibilities of the parties involved, design criteria, representation on the nautical charts, planning, etc. The Part B of the volume is arranged in several sections covering the Baltic Sea together with the adjacent waters, Western European waters, Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, Indian Ocean and adjacent waters, South-East Asia, Pacific Coast of the North/South America, Australasia, Western North Atlantic Ocean, Mexican Gulf, Pacific Coast of Asia, Caribbean Sea, Eastern North Atlantic and South Atlantic Oceans...
