These officially released Guidelines have been developed for the JO tankers and material presented therein is to be considered an accepted procedures for tank cleaning to water white standards. The methods of cleaning contained in this manual are after the mandatory tank pre-wash, as applicable.
Apart from the introductory section, this document addresses the miscellaneous aggressive cargoes in cargo tanks with epoxy coating, absorption/desorption of epoxy coating after such cargoes, tank cleaning procedures, cleaning tanks after vegetable or animal oil cargo, some special procedures etc.
