The present book consists of a number of professional articles, most of them lie in the area of CFD, i.e. computational fluid dynamics. In addition to that, it also includes some experimental methods and diagnostic ways as applied to dynamics of fluids, turbo machinery and combustion. The associated papers are covering diverse topics, for example pipe, shock tube compressor flows, velocity and turbulence measurements etc.
The book starts with the article providing some examples of recent fluid flow computations - in this chapter some introduction is given, together with the solution methods, temporal and spatial discretization, parallelization, governing equations, vortex breakdown, applications etc.
The other chapters of the book deal with such aspects as the analysis and design of the turbo machinery blading, three-dimensional deviations in laminar flow, diaphragm bulge effects on shock tubes, numerical investigation of mixed convections, various boundary conditions for the pipe elements, measurements of the whirl distribution, axially excited rotating LL systems, rotating fluid flows, and many other related topics. Definitely a good source for people involved in the associated fields of engineering.
