There is a critically important need to accommodate this rapidly expanding population via the new places for living and work, associated infrastructure, food products and so many other aspects.

And, the potential colonization of the ocean spaces might be considered one of the ways in which people would engage with the challenges connected with the provision of more energy resources as well as the space available for humans.
